Stories Through the Static is an independent storytelling business based in Louisiana, United States. We create poetry, fiction, recorded stories, and digital literary keepsakes.
The stories and recordings currently available throughout the house are free to explore. Digital editions for readers to purchase, download, and keep are in preparation; purchases and subscriptions are not yet available on this site.
What lives here
In the Reading Room, history and family memory sit side by side. The Broadcast Studio holds the voices of Emmie and Vangie. In the ballroom, a dropped fan and an old mirror carry poems of love and trouble across the centuries.
The Study is a home for science, invention, and AI stories. Fiction and lore are labeled as such. Family tellings are presented as remembered stories, and factual reading is accompanied by resources. A conservatory and other rooms for curiosity will follow as the house grows.
The upstairs Salon holds digital literary keepsakes: a free reading edition of How Thoughtful. How Discreet. and a short preview of Let Me Have the Hour, our first paid edition, not yet on sale.

How the stories are made
Writing, editing, artwork, and production include AI assistance, with creative direction and editorial choices by Stories Through the Static. Emmie and Vangie are fictional characters portrayed through synthetic voices and imagery. Their family stories are adaptations of remembered tellings.
